Two new LOTAR Standards published
The international standardisation project LOTAR (Long-Term Archiving and Retrieval) has made significant progress: Two new documents have been published that further advance the long-term archiving of technical product data.
EN9300-100 – New version available
The revised version of EN9300-100 defines the general concepts and principles for the long-term archiving of 3D CAD information. It forms the basis for all other parts of the EN9300-1xx family and has been updated to meet the current requirements of the industry.
EN9300-210 – First version published
With the publication of EN9300-210, a standard specifically dedicated to the archiving of “as-designed” product structures is now available for the first time. It covers the definition and validation of structural information and associated metadata. Further documents from the EN9300-2xx family, e.g., for “as maintained” product structures or extended validation properties, are in progress and will also be published in the foreseeable future.
See LOTAR Standard for more information.
