A new version of prEN9300-007 has been published by ASD-STAN. LOTAR Basic and Common Process Parts Workgroup constantly works on updating the “Terms and References” document and a publishes new release every couple of years. Each new release includes additional definitions of terms and further references introduced to LOTAR through the continuously growing scope of the project. The now fourth edition of this LOTAR part changes the document structure to a more easy-to-read table layout.

One of the main scope extensions relates to input provided by the LOTAR Composites and Advanced Manufacturing Workgroup, providing definitions for terms such as ‘laminate’, ‘core’, ‘rosette’, ‘ply’, and more. In addition, a first set of terms and references from the LOTAR Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) team is also included.

The updated preliminary document can be purchased through ASD-STAN; see link on the LOTAR Standard page. The publication process at AIA on the US side is currently ongoing.
