prostep ivip web seminar: LOTAR

prostep ivip web seminar: LOTAR

12 January 2021

The goal of the LOTAR project is to develop, test, pilot, publish and maintain standards designed to provide the capability to archive and retrieve digital product and technical information, in a standard form that can be read and reused throughout the product lifecycle. The multi-part standard is published as prEN/NAS-9300.

The prostep ivip webinar will give you an overview of the project, its organization and history, technical background and business motivation, and published results. In addition, you will learn which working groups exist within the LOTAR project, and their current scope. An overview will show where LOTAR standards are already applied in production and the range of solutions supporting this. Finally, it will be outlined how LOTAR provided input to related standardization projects such as STEP AP242, and the related implementor forums, to broaden and deploy standards-based archiving and exchange. An outlook on the planned next steps will conclude the presentation.

Update: The web seminar slides can be downloaded from theĀ Public Presentations page.
