LOTAR-Standard Related Documents

The main deliverable of the LOTAR International project is the EN/NAS 9300 Series of Standards. However, the project group also creates related, accompanying documents which by themselves do not have the normative strength of a LOTAR Part, but provide guidance and advice on how to apply the LOTAR Standard in daily business, or give recommendations on how domain-specific capabilities shall be implemented in the related software tools in order to fulfill the LOTAR requirements.

In the latter case, these documents are in general created in cooperation with the respective vendor community to ensure feasibility and stability of the described features. For instance in the CAD domain, this happens through the well-established collaboration with the CAx-IF. In other domains, such as PDM, similar structures yet have to be established. To secure the results of the LOTAR workgroups and to allow all parties interested in creating and applying LOTAR-compliant solutions, the related documents are published on this page.
